A plume of smoke can be seen streaming from the World Trade Center on 9/11 in this image taken by astronaut Frank Culbertson.
NASA The only American not on Earth this day 13 years ago was retired U.S. Navy captain and NASA Expedition 3 commander Frank Culbertson.
